Minimum Qualifications 1. Four years of experience performing engineering technician work in aeronautical, chemical, civil, electrical, environmental, mechanical or sanitary engineering technology; environmental technology; or as supervisor or drafter;
OR
2. Graduation for high school (or possession of a high school equivalency diploma issued by a recognized education authority or a USAFI GED diploma high school level) AND one year of the experience described in option 1 above;
OR
3. Graduation from a high school technical education program in technical aeronautics, technical architectural drafting and building construction; technical chemistry, industrial chemistry, technical electricity/electronics, technical mechanical design and construction, technical structural drafting and design, technical instrumentation and control systems or computer circuitry;
OR
4. Eighteen college semester credit hours in any combination of the following courses: engineering; such as civil, chemical, electrical, mechanical, aeronautical, and/or sanitary; public health; environmental and/or engineering technology; drafting; mathematics; surveying; computer science, environmental science; and/or the natural and physical sciences.

Duties Description Assist with the operation of the Bureau’s Pesticide Product Registration Section’s registration program, including application receipt and review, and associated data entry. Receive, review and maintain electronic files which include pesticide product labels, letters and documents. Assist with the Bureau’s LEAN projects and
activities, and coordinate and track the various annual contracts for the Bureau. Assist with the development of appropriate letters, forms, instructions and procedures on the various aspects of the Pesticide Product Registration, Certification, Business Registration and Pesticide Reporting programs. Assist with the review and revision of the Bureau’s webpage as needed. Will be required to effectively prepare and communicate written material. Interact
professionally with the general public and regulated community through e-mail, telephone and written correspondence. Provide technical assistance to pesticide registrants and users, including application and interpretation of pesticide laws and regulations. Review and receive pesticide product registration applications. Enter all application and product information in NYSPAD system and enter check information into the FMIS system.
Additional Comments Funding for this position is secured through 3/31/18 with a possibility of continuing after that date. Work schedule will be discussed at the interview.
