Minimum Qualifications Candidates must have permanent status as an Office Assistant 1, Grade 6, and eligible for a lateral transfer, OR be eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. Duties Description The Office of Mental Health (OMH) is recruiting to fill two Office Assistant 1, Grade 6, positions in the Office of Financial Management (OFM), Consolidated Business Office (CBO). The CBO is responsible for consolidated cash management, purchasing, vouchering, contract and payroll services for 24 OMH psychiatric facilities, Cook Chill Production Center and Central Office. The incumbents will provide support services within the Administrative Support Unit. Specific duties to be performed may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Create, organize and maintain paper and electronic files.

Scan, fax and/or photocopy documents.

Record and scan payment vouchers.

Respond to phone and/or email queries and follow up with facilities and vendors as needed.

Screen, stamp, and distribute incoming mail and fax submissions.

Process and dispose of confidential information consistent with use and dissemination agreements.

Order and maintain office supplies as needed.

Enter data in various databases.

Liaison with vendors, facility staff and control agencies regarding payment status and issues.

Perform other clerical duties as necessary and serve as back-up for other clerical staff.

Additional Comments The Consolidated Business Office (CBO) is conveniently located on the grounds of the Capital District PC at 75 New Scotland Avenue, Albany, New York. We offer a comfortable working environment with covered parking available on site for a nominal monthly fee.
