Minimum Qualifications Minimum of an Associate’s degree in a related field with three years of professional experience is required. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred. Three years of active United States military service with an honorable discharge may be used to satisfy the experience requirement.
Duties Description The Administrative Assistant-Bookkeeper reports to the Chief Fiscal Officer (CFO) and is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of the District’s payroll, accounts payable transactions, and month end financial reporting. Also, responsible for all State and Federal filings, reconciliation of the general and petty cash funds and retirement processing. Assist CFO with the preparation and development of District three (3) year budgets.
Successful candidate must possess a strong accounting background and demonstrated written/verbal communication, organizational, problem solving, and excel spreadsheet skills. Knowledge of MAS 90 accounting system a plus.
Additional Comments Salary range $39,328 - $49,390. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, deferred compensation plan, NY State retirement, paid vacation, holidays, sick leave, and personal time.
