Minimum Qualifications Open Competitive:
Six years of full-time experience in managing contracts and related budgets.
The managing of contracts must have included experience in one or more of the following areas: negotiation with contractors and vendors; fiscal management, including bidding, payment, analysis, and fiscal reporting; contract development, including developing requests for proposals; contract execution, including securing signatory approval from control agencies; or monitoring and review of contract terms.
Substitution: An associate's degree or 60 semester credit hours may be substituted for up to two years of the required experience; a bachelor's degree may be substituted for up to four years of the required experience; a master's degree or a law degree may be substituted for one additional year of the required experience.
Transfer:
One year of permanent competitive service as a Contract Management Specialist 1 or eligible for a 70.1 or 52.6 transfer.
Duties Description Monitor program contracts.
Negotiate specific procurement and contract provisions.
Review procurement and contract documents.
Additional duties will be discussed in detail during the interview.
