Candidates must have permanent status as Research Scientist 3 (SG-25), and be interested in transfer; OR possess a Bachelor’s Degree and four years of professional research experience in the appropriate field; OR possess a Master’s Degree and three years of such experience; OR hold a doctorate in the appropriate field and one year of such experience.

Duties Description The Research Scientist 3 will perform intermediate to advanced level analyses using many different data bases including Medicaid and the OASAS Client Data System (CDS) to evaluate the impact, test performance and outcome measures for the transition to Medicaid Managed Care. The candidate will perform various data management and analytical functions to support the many agency priority initiatives. This will include extracting data, building data bases, producing reports and presenting information to division leadership and executive staff. The individual should have experience working with Medicaid data bases, Microsoft office products such as excel, and be proficient in SAS and/or SPSS.
