Minimum Qualifications 1.) 4 years of appropriate trade experience and a high school diploma or GED issued by a recognized state educational authority; OR 2.) an Associate's Degree in a related trade area AND 2 years of appropriate trade experience; OR 3.) a Bachelors Degree in any area AND 1 year of appropriate trade experience.
Duties Description Teach trades and skills to residents and/or inmates of institutions/facilities under general supervision. Your duties would include the preparation of lesson plans, course outlines, trade analyses and may include shop layout planning, the establishment of shop safety programs and the maintenance of tools and equipment. You would be expected to manage a classroom environment appropriately. You would be responsible for meeting each learner's individual needs and evaluating their progress as part of your record keeping duties. You may need to utilize technology as part of your instruction to enhance the educational setting.
