Minimum Qualifications One year permanent competitive service as a Teacher or eligible for a 70.1 transfer; OR a provisional/initial/permanent or professional New York State certification in the appropriate specialty.
Requirements for Appointment at Each Level:
For Teacher 2: New York State provisional/initial/conditional initial certification in the appropriate specialty**.
For Teacher 3: New York State permanent/professional certification in the appropriate specialty**.
For Teacher 4: New York State permanent/professional certification in the appropriate specialty and two years of post-certification (provisional/initial/conditional initial or permanent/professional) teaching experience in the appropriate specialty**.

Duties Description Instruct a course(s) recognized by the New York State Education Department.

Prepare or modify curriculum and course outlines.

Prepare daily or weekly lesson plans and conduct a schedule of formal instruction for residents of an Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) facility.

Additional duties will be discussed in detail during the interview.

Additional Comments Preferred Specialty is Mathematics, grades 7-12.
Level of appointment is based on training and experience.
