Salary RangeFrom $32178 to $39626 Annually
Minimum Qualifications Six months of experience climbing and pruning trees AND must meet the physical and medical standards. When required to operate motor vehicles, candidates must possess a valid New York State driver's license appropriate for the type of vehicle to be operated.
Duties Description Climbing, topping, pruning and felling trees; rigging ropes and tackling for self; ability to work from a 70 foot bucket truck, using power saws and other tools and equipment; installing guying and bracing; repairing cavities. The candidate shall be required to perform snow and ice operations in areas other than work location. Candidates must be able to report within a maximum of one hour of call up. Responsibilities may include serving a role within the Incident Command System to support the department’s response to regional and statewide emergency situations.
