Minimum Qualifications The New York State Office of the Attorney General is seeking a well-organized, task-oriented person with office management experience to provide administrative support and assist the Taxpayer Protection Bureau’s management with highly confidential matters. Candidates should be hard-working, motivated and committed to public service on behalf of the people of the State of New York. Legal office experience is preferred. A commitment of at least two (2) years is requested.

Duties Description The Taxpayer Protection Bureau targets corrupt contractors and large-scale tax cheats, and encourages and works with whistleblowers to expose fraud against the government.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

•Provide a full range of administrative support to professional staff, including answering and handling phone calls, scheduling meetings, and greeting visitors.
•Prepare highly confidential correspondence.
•Manage the work flow of the office.
•Manage central files, reproduction, mail and other support operations.
•Manage personnel and office support activities.
•Maintain procedures providing for timely, accurate and complete docketing and transmittal of information.
•Generate bureau statistical reports.
•Prepare written reports and analyses in various formats including narratives, tabular reports, letters, forms, policies, work plans and procedures, using Microsoft Office Access, Excel and Word.
•Perform analytical research using public databases, including Open Book New York.
•Maintain bureau calendars including court dates and deadlines.
•Perform other duties as assigned, including but not limited to, implementing and maintaining procedures manual, organizational chart, etc.

Additional Comments Salary to be determined commensurate with experience.
