Job Specifics
Minimum Qualifications Provisional: Bachelor’s degree and three years of experience administering or analyzing disability, aging, health, or social services programs for older adults or in the development, delivery or monitoring of long term services and supports (LTSS). OR Seven years of experience administering or analyzing disability, aging, health, or social services programs for older adults, three years of which must have been in the development, delivery, or monitoring of LTSS.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of NYS Medicaid as well as Medicare and other public health related services relevant to managed long term care and home and community based programs; excellent written and oral skills; and experience in Microsoft Office suite.
Duties Description The incumbent of this position will serve as the project lead for programs and demonstration projects within the Bureau of Community Integration & Alzheimer’s Disease. Duties include but are not limited to: serve as project lead for the AlzCAP program and Lifespan Demonstration Project program which ensures caregivers of individuals with AD/D and/or seniors receive the necessary supports that enable care receivers to live in the least restrictive environment; provide technical assistance to contractors on programmatic, fiscal, data and reporting requirements; conduct site visits, write reports of findings, and follow up on results; review and approve monthly and quarterly reports and reviews, reconciles and approves vouchers; monitor contracts to verify deliverables and compliance with program standards associated with MRT; develop policy options, recommendations and procedures for contractors within the Alzheimer’s Disease Program which contain health care costs, ensure access to quality services, and delay institutionalization; participate as a member of the Northeastern NY caregiver conference committee; create Requests for Applications (RFA) and serve as a team lead during the review and scoring process; supervise contract and state staff and determine their assignments and priorities; and other duties as deemed necessary in response to the changing needs of OHIP.
