Job Specifics

Minimum Qualifications Must have a New York State License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse; and certification by the New York State Education Department as a Nurse Practitioner - Specialty in Adult Health.

Duties Description Reviews presenting problem, date of onset, and duration. Obtains info about prior areas of difficulty and/or disability. Determines extent of previous treatment modalities for each difficulty/disability identified. Perform complete exams, order routine lab tests. Records finding of physical/development assessment, assess data, develops or assists in development of a health plan for primary, acute or long term care, initiates and performs emergency care services. Coordinates disease prevention and health maintenance programs using available resources. Evaluates health plan for effectiveness and institutes necessary adjustment or correction. Assists in providing learning experience for nursing staff.
