Minimum Qualifications One year of permanent competitive service as a Secretary 2 or one year of permanent competitive service in an office assistant, clerical, secretarial or keyboarding title allocated to Grade 13 or higher eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. Transfer candidates may be required to demonstrate keyboarding proficiency by passing the keyboarding performance test.
Duties Description The Secretary 2 will: provide administrative support to the General Counsel and agency attorneys; serve as office manager; route Executive Chamber and General Counsel correspondence to the appropriate attorneys; track attorney compliance with the Joint Commission on Public Ethics course requirements; log administrative appeals; work on agency rule making; review subdivided land filings, assign numbers, process check deposits and keep subdivided land accounts; review outgoing correspondence, ascertaining that all attachments are complete and in order; follow up with staff to ensure that documents have been properly dispatched; maintain office schedule; upon request, coordinate and arrange meetings and travel plans for staff; prepare travel reimbursement vouchers; order and maintain office supplies; assist in the design of office filing systems; assist in the implementation of agency and division policies and procedures; and perform such other tasks as requested by the General Counsel.
