Minimum Qualifications Six years of experience in producing multimedia communication projects using elements of audiovisual production, or graphic design for web, or graphic design for print; OR a bachelor's degree in video and/or TV and/or film production, web interface design, graphic design, communications design, or a closely related field AND two years of experience as listed above.
Preferred Qualifications: The preferred candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in one of the areas indicated above and four
or more years of experience producing multimedia programming projects using elements of production or graphic design for web.
Duties Description Reporting to the Supervisor Public Safety Programs, the Multimedia Production Program Specialist will be assigned to the Law Enforcement Training Unit and will be responsible for the creation of multimedia projects. Duties include but are not limited to:
• Studio/Field Multimedia Productions: Perform the pre-production and production phases of creating multimedia projects. Duties include attending pre-production meetings, script writing, lighting, audio, graphics design, computer teleprompting and videography. Working knowledge and expertise with professional camera systems is essential.
• Post Production: Perform the post production process (editing) of multimedia projects using non-linear video editing systems. The incumbent will be required to use and be proficient with Avid Technologies, Apple Final Cut Pro, Adobe Creative Cloud and multimedia encoding formats.
• Audio – Visual Support: Perform multimedia support in training events held at venues across NYS. Tasks include supplying instructors, presenters and staff with appropriate A/V equipment and operating a variety of A/V equipment during symposiums, meetings and other events held across NYS.
• Multimedia Publication and Dissemination: Perform the process of multimedia publication on various media platforms for statewide dissemination of projects including publishing content to an online training platform.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Program Manager of the Law Enforcement Training Unit.
Additional Comments Appointment is subject to Division of Budget waiver approval.

be made.
