Minimum Qualifications One year of permanent competitive service in this title or a title eligible for transfer pursuant to Section 52.6 or 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

Duties Description Responsibilities include becoming a master instructor and training all security, health and safety, and trauma-related curricula, including but not limited to Crisis Prevention and Management (CPM), NY Model, First Aid/CPR/AED, etc. for Raise the Age (RTA) programs across the state.

Duties will also include: partnering with Juvenile Justice to assess ongoing training needs, conduct training, and provide technical assistance for the maintenance of training programs, as needed.

Duties may also include providing a similar level of support to other RTA programs, as requested. The incumbent will collaborate with other BTD staff for curricula development, to include the development of simulation outcome based training to be conducted at the NYS Human Services Training Center.

This position will require travel to offsite locations (see additional information) and supervision of Training Specialist staff. Additional duties will be discussed in detail during the interview.
