Minimum Qualifications Current NYS employee with one year or more of permanent or contingent-permanent, competitive service:
- as an Office Assistant 2 (G-9), OR
- in a position allocated to a salary grade 7 or above and eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law; OR
- as an OA 1; or one year in a clerical/keyboarding title allocated to G-5 or higher (Provisional appointment).

Preferred Qualifications: The preferred candidate should be a highly motivated, cooperative, and efficient individual interested in working in a fast paced, high volume, dynamic nursing environment. The candidate must have experience dealing scheduling; good organizational skills; the ability to adjust workflow amongst the team with shifting priorities; competence entering information into electronic databases; proficient communications skills.

Duties Description The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating/managing the work schedules for the nurses and certified nursing assistants at our facility; receives incoming telephone inquiries from the nursing staff, responds to questions, and provides responses/guidance where appropriate; and coordinates with other nursing staff in order to ensure a smooth work environment.

Additional Comments This position is at the NYS Veterans' Home in Oxford, NY. We are a 242 bed skilled nursing facility for veterans and their dependents. We serve United States military heroes! Come join our team.
