Minimum Qualifications Candidates must have possession of valid license to practice Dentistry in New York State and possess two years of full-time post licensure dentistry experience.
Duties Description As a Dentist 2, you would have responsibility, usually under the advisory direction of higher ranking Dentist, for the regular examination, treatment, and complete dental care of patients in a state facility.
Dentists do extractions, restorations, prosthetics, root canal therapy, prophylaxis, and limited periodontics; administer local anesthesia; examine and chart the dental condition of patients; take and interpret dental x-rays; perform oral surgery; and treat oral diseases and infections.
