Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor’s Degree and two years of professional research experience in the area(s) of child welfare, criminal justice, psychology, social work, sociology, program evaluation or other related field, OR

Master’s Degree in Social Welfare, Criminal Justice, Psychology, Sociology, Statistics or other related field, and one years of professional research experience in the area(s) of child welfare, criminal justice, social work, psychology, sociology, program evaluation or other related field.


Duties Description Under supervision of senior research staff, incumbent will participate in all phases of the research process including problem definition, planning, execution, analysis, interpretation and reporting of findings. Research projects typically fall within the domains of child welfare and juvenile justice. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to: formulation of policy/program relevant research hypotheses; working with senior staff to identify, design and carry out methods of inquiry capable of testing said hypotheses; extracting, preparing and analyzing data from administrative databases to address research questions and federal reporting requirements; developing data collection instruments, survey tools, and analysis plans for small scale research initiatives; assisting in the development and production of performance monitoring reports; and reporting for research and evaluation studies.
