Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
70.1 TRANSFER QUALIFICATIONS: An Employee with one year of permanent competitive service in a title allocated to Grade 9 or higher may qualify for transfer pursuant to Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
In addition, keyboarding proficiency is a minimum requirement of this position. If you have not previously held a keyboarding position, you must demonstrate that you possess the requisite keyboarding skills.
Duties Description STANDARD DUTIES:
As a Secretary 1 you would be responsible for providing administrative support in an office. You would establish and implement procedures to maintain an efficient work flow; relive an official of a variety of routine office details; and perform responsible clerical work. You would also screen and refer telephone calls to the appropriate staff; examine daily mail and personally handle routine correspondence by preparing replies or collecting information for your supervisor’s use in replying; and keep office records and files using a variety of software. You would be responsible for the preparation of a variety of documents, databases, and correspondence.
Additional Comments Position specific job duties may include occasional altered work schedule or job assignments which require availability and willingness to work occasional evening and or out-stationed assignments.
