Minimum Qualifications Applicants must have taken and passed a NYS Civil Service examination and be reachable off the Civil Service eligible list.

Duties Description SUNY Empire State College, Office of Academic Review, seeks an Office Assistant 2 (Keyboarding) at our Coordinating Center in Saratoga Springs.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•Transfer portfolio and assessment materials to the Center file for the Student
•Understand both the administrative systems and the policies and procedures relating to degree programs at Empire State College (ESC) in order to answer questions and explain processes to students and mentors
•Review each concurred degree program with great attention to detail, comparing ESC work completed and supporting documents, as outlined in ESC policy and procedures
•Enter transcript credit into DP Planner for incoming students and prepare student folders
•Maintain thorough knowledge of the Assessment databases for the tracking of essays submitted by students, preparation of material to evaluator, receipt of assessment and correspondence to students and mentors
•Participate as a member of the Assessment work team
•Maintain current knowledge of procedures required by Colleague in all relevant areas of student record keeping; to include Admissions, Prospects, Registration, Financial Aid, Student Accounts, Curriculum Management, Faculty Information, and the Communications Module
•Provide substitute reception coverage as requested and perform support staff functions as appropriate for other coverage purposes as operating needs require
