Minimum Qualifications Two years of experience in maintenance or mechanical work under the supervision of a skilled trades-worker or completion of an appropriate two-year technical school course.
Duties Description The candidate will be required to perform maintenance and repair work on various types of motor equipment. Candidate must have a good working knowledge of motor equipment. May not be assigned to the same job location each day, should expect to be assigned anywhere in the working circle during depending on needs. Will be required to perform moderate to heavy labor, read plans, specifications and manuals, and have the ability to understand and carry out written and oral directions. May be assigned to a small work crew and must be able to supervise and give directions. Work may include working outdoors in inclement conditions, candidate must be able to perform duties in such conditions.
Additional Comments Must have valid driver's license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position. Must be able to negotiate difficult terrain and work in remote areas and adverse weather conditions. Travel and overtime may be required. Weekends and holidays may be required. Must have a valid Class B CDL within 6 months of appointment with appropriate endorsements. Must be able to lift and move objects up to 75 pounds.
This is a temporary position with a duration of 6/1/18 through 3/31/19.
