Minimum Qualifications Two years of experience in maintenance or mechanical work under the supervision of a skilled trades-worker or completion of an appropriate two-year technical school course.
Duties Description Will be required to operate heavy equipment such as trucks, tractors, front end loaders, etc; operate light self-propelled equipment such as power mowers, chainsaws, power saws, etc; perform a variety of tasks utilizing power and manual hand tools, including but not limited to saws, hammers, drills, sanders, etc; possess ability to perform a variety of construction trades, including but not limited to excavation, masonry, carpentry, plumbing and electric. Supervise staff and/or work crew as assigned. Experience in a recreational or educational setting a plus. Must have knowledge of heavy construction equipment (loader, skid steer, excavator etc.)
Additional Comments Must have valid driver's license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position. Must be able to negotiate difficult terrain and work in remote areas and adverse weather conditions. Travel, overtime and overnight travel may be required. Weekends and holidays may be required. Must be available for emergency response. Must be available to respond to after-hours emergencies. Must have a valid Class B CDL within 6 months of appointment with appropriate endorsements. Will be subject to the Federal Omnibus Transportation Employee Testing Act (OTETA) of 1991, which requires employee testing for drug and alcohol abuse. Must be able to lift and move objects up to 60 pounds.
This is a temporary position with a duration of 4/15/18 through 11/30/18.
