Minimum Qualifications 3 years’ experience with direct user technology support, or
BS in related field (Computer Science) plus at least one year of experience in direct user technology support
MCSE certification preferred.
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications
Excellent problem solving skills.
Extensive knowledge of system management tools.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills and the ability to work well with an established IT infrastructure are very important.
Ability to explain technical topics in plain language.
Excellent interpersonal skills; team-oriented.
Reliable and responsible; able to respond quickly to emergency support situations.
Duties Description NYS Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation has an immediate need for a Technology Support and Training Specialist to join our Innovation team. The candidate will help to directly support users in the field across our 215 Parks and historical sites with the technology they need to do their jobs. The candidate will also liaise between the NY State Office of Information Technology Services and NYS OPRHP, while collaborating with Innovation team on project design and implementation. Experience in the following is ideal:

Messaging (Exchange/Outlook, Office365)

Additional Comments This position will be located in either Harlem, NY or Albany, NY.
