Minimum Qualifications Current Division of Homeland Security & Emergency Services employee with permanent, contingent-permanent or 55b/c service as a Criminal Justice Program Representative 2 and interested in reassignment; OR current New York State employee with one year or more of permanent, contingent-permanent or 55b/c status in a Community Correction Representative 2, Criminal Justice Policy Analyst 3, Criminal Justice Program Representative 2 Administration, or Program Research Specialist 3 Criminal Justice and eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

Duties Description • Develop and coordinate State Investment Justifications for submission of the Homeland Security Grant
Program application to the Department of Homeland Security and conduct reviews of local applications.
• Assist with the federal reporting requirements process.
• Reviewing grant applications and making funding recommendations on the applications.
• Conduct research and analysis on a variety of topics, programs and/or trends in homeland security funding.
• Develop written products to assist in the sub-recipient application process.
• Assist in completing data requests by Executive Staff, Executive Chamber or to satisfy FOIL submissions.
• Serve as program lead on various working groups and grant programs.
• Provides assistance to grantees in administering their grant funded programs.
Additional Comments The preferred candidate will possess a valid NYS Driver's License.
Support of operations during times of emergency and disaster from State Emergency Operations Center (EOC), state field offices and/or local deployments may be required, which would result in a change and/or increase in working hours, locations and/or duties.
