Minimum Qualifications Current Office of General Services employees with one year of permanent, contingent-permanent, or 55b/c service as an Assistant Director Real Estate Planning & Development and interested in reassignment; OR current New York State employee with one year or more of permanent, contingent-permanent or 55b/c service in a position allocated to SG-29 or M-3 or above and eligible for transfer under Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law.

Duties Description The incumbent of this position will oversee a team of technicians responsible for the delivery of analytic and strategic services. The incumbent will be responsible for the following duties:
• Analyze and improve business processes for OGS real estate operations including integration with computer systems, and developing processes to support new initiatives
• Improve access and analysis of data
• Develop and implement operational policies, procedure, guidelines and directive regarding analytic and system support functions
• Provide guidance and technical direction to subordinate staff and other agency real estate staff regarding data management policies, procedures, laws, rules and regulations related to agency real estate operations
• Provide real estate data policy and technical advice to agency management staff regarding real estate program operations and legal limitations and requirements.
• Develop departmental plan for achieving information system requirements and act as Real Estate Center liaison to NYS ITS and SFS
• Continue to enhance the Real Estate Inventory including building profiles and underutilized property database and provide accurate and timely data to key stakeholders
• Analyze frequently requested reports and develop a process to streamline reporting for ad-hoc reports
