1. A specialization in Health Psychology or related field is strongly preferred
2. Experience with Health related initiatives in the campus community or surrounding community
3. Student focused experience outside of the classroom (i.e., research, advisement, and internship site development)
4. Evidence of excellence in educating and mentoring a diverse group of learners
Duties Description The Applied Psychology department at SUNY Cobleskill is seeking a candidate who is strongly committed to excellence in undergraduate teaching to join our faculty as an Assistant Professor in Psychology. The successful candidate will have a specialty in Health Psychology or a closely related discipline. He or she will teach a variety of courses at all levels of a Bachelor's program in Applied Psychology. Courses taught will include, but may not be limited to: general psychology, social psychology, health psychology, adolescent psychology, psychology of aging, as well as other courses developed to meet program needs.
Other duties for this position include advisement of psychology majors, cooperation in the enrichment and growth of the program, involvement in program, School, and College service, professional development, and supervision of interns.
