Minimum Qualifications Eligible for a lateral transfer or a 70.1 transfer by having one year of permanent competitive service in an appropriate title. Appropriate title includes:
Assistant in Education Research, SG-22
OR
Eligible for a 52.6 transfer by having one year of permanent competitive service in an appropriate title.

Duties Description The incumbent will be developing, maintaining, and analyzing data from various Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance (OTDA) automated systems and other available data sources to support OTDA’s policy analysis and data reporting needs, which range from basic reports of program participation and costs to policy change simulations and assessment of program effectiveness. Under supervision, the incumbent will work with program staff and other interested parties to develop analysis approaches, extract data from OTDA's various data systems and arrange the data in ways conducive to analysis and reporting using statistical analysis packages and query tools, and produce reports summarizing the results of the analysis. The primary analysis areas will be in human services program caseloads, expenditures, characteristics of program recipients, and projected and actual self-sufficiency related outcomes for recipients.
Performing quantitative data analysis, policy analysis, program evaluation/performance measurement, or statistical reporting using a statistical analysis and data manipulation package (such as SPSS, SAS, Stata or R), business intelligence tool (such as Cognos), or SQL or other database access tools.
Additional Comments A full time, permanent appointment will be made. If certified by Civil Service, mandatory reemployment list candidates must be considered first for appointment to this title.
