Minimum Qualifications Interested candidates must be reachable on the Office Assistant 3 (Calculations) eligible list or eligible to transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
To be eligible for a 70.1 transfer, candidates must have one year of permanent competitive service in a qualifying title allocated to a grade 12 or higher.
Duties Description Responsible for all aspects of the office in the absence of Associate Administrative Analyst. This includes approving time off and arranging coverage, if necessary. Ensuring proper flow of work and redirecting staff assignments as appropriate. Overseeing daily deposits and ensuring proper and timely deposits are prepared. Working with Treasury and private banking institutions to arrange for the actual deposit to be made. Responsible for assisting with staff development including oversight of training needs, preparing evaluations and handling personnel issues.
Verifies accuracy of information entered by unit clerical staff into RMS_OUF for all stocks and bonds received by OUF. Approves batched work for final processing. Works closely with OUF management on items requiring special handling. Determines proper handling and prepares for shipment to brokers for liquidation (using both RMS system and OUF’s Excel/Access processing system). Directs clerical staff in processing in the RMS system.
As needed, works alongside clerical staff on all aspects of check handling. This can include inventorying, batching, verifying or preparing deposits – whatever is required during low staff or heavy processing times in order to complete daily deposits.
