Minimum Qualifications Must be currently serving in the title of Direct Support Assistant with the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities.

OPERATIONAL NEEDS: Current valid Driver’s License, AMAP, SCIP, First Aid, and CPR Certifications are preferred.

Duties Description Assists, trains, and supervises Individuals in a self-care and performance of housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, shopping, food preparation, and household maintenance. Attends to the personal, self-care, and other needs of those Individuals who are unable to take care of themselves. Administers, or assists in the administration of first aid treatment in the event of minor burns, cuts, and abrasions. Assists during workshops, social, cultural events, and day programming. Maintains all appropriate and required files, records, and reports incidents, neighborhood reactions, etc. May also have contact via telephone, letter, or face-to-face conversation with family members, neighbors, community clinicians, and business people.
