70.1 TRANSFER QUALIFICATIONS: An employee with one year of permanent competitive service as a Tax Compliance Representative 2, Grade 15, may be eligible to transfer to Tax Compliance Agent 2 pursuant to Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
PROVISIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: An employee with one year of permanent competitive service as a Tax Compliance Agent 1, Grade 14, may be eligible for provisional appointment to Tax Compliance Agent 2 if the current eligible list is exhausted.
Duties Description As a Tax Compliance Agent 2, you would review completed collection assignments and locate additional payment sources when necessary. You would direct and supervise staff in either the UI Employer Services or Central Assignment and Collection Section. On an as needed basis, conduct formal and informal training sessions regarding the provisions of UI Law relating to the reporting and collection of UI contributions, interest, and penalties. You would advise and assist Tax Compliance Agent 1’s in the handling of complex cases including insolvent employers’ accounts.
Additional Comments Travel Requirements: Occasional travel may be required.
