Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma and 6 months verifiable cashier/teller experience required.
Duties Description Under the supervision of the Revenue Supervisor, cashiers must be proficient in registering patrons for different classes in park programs, process payments for all activities and reservations for picnic areas, skating and pool permits. Cashiers process cash transactions as well as credit card transactions and money orders. The cashiers handle and account for cash in their drawer. The cashier checks for counterfeit bills. The cashiers have to be alert managing different codes and two separate accounts.
An Agency uniform and an ID card is a mandated requirement for all staff that work with the general public.
Cashiers make copies and type posting notes to inform patrons of any events or changes. Assist head cashiers as needed with the carousel, wristbands, collect money at athletic and cultural events. Perform other duties as required. Opportunity to move to head cashier position.
Additional Comments Operational Needs:
• Cashiers must demonstrate basic mathematics skills.
• Cashiers must possess computer proficiency including Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
• Fast learner who adapts to fast paced environment.
• Takes initiative in reporting patrons’ needs.
• Cashiers report to the Supervisor in Revenue Department.
• Good Customer Service skills are essential to the professional delivery of services.
