Minimum Qualifications For permanent appointment:
One year of permanent competitive state service as an Assistant Engineer in any of the following parenthetic designations to be 70.1 transfer eligible: Civil, Civil / Construction, Civil / Geotechnical, Civil / Structural, Civil / Transportation, Electrical, Environmental, Mechanical, or Mechanical / HVAC.
Duties Description Under the direction of the Capital Program Manager, the Assistant Engineer (Civil) will assist in the development, management and maintenance of the Parks Consultant program; manage the consultant procurement process consistent with State Finance Law and OSC Guidelines; perform vendor responsibility reviews; prepare consultant contract agreements and packages; ensure that the procurement record for individual contracts is complete and accurate; coordinate and respond to questions from the Office of the Attorney General and State Comptroller; maintain consultant contract documents, processes, guidance and forms; utilize and maintain consultant tracking system; provide guidance and direction to consultants consistent with program guidelines; assist Parks Regional staff to insure consistent implementation of Term Contract services; quality control for Consultant Work Order and Payment processing.
Additional Comments Candidate must have a demonstrated proficiency in using Microsoft office products such as Word and Excel.
