Minimum Qualifications A current New York State employee eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law, OR

Reachable for appointment from the current Associate Auditor eligible list #37-357.

Duties Description Under the general direction of the Principal Auditor, the incumbent will perform duties that include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Review and authorize transactions for the vendor which include any adjustments to the retailer’s accounts;
• Authorize bank transfers and verify transactions;
• Work as a liaison between the Attorney General’s Office, IGT Corporation and the Division of Lottery to collect bad debts;
• Receive, authorize, record and monitor payment plan requests by retailers for change of ownership;
• Oversee the weekly validation of amounts due from Lottery retailers and fees paid to contractors;
• Oversee game activities as each draw is conducted to provide guidance and support should any issues arise during these activities;
• Review and authorize reconstruction requests from senior staff to printing companies;
• Ensure service fees are reviewed and updated quarterly;
• Review and approve crime insurance claims;
• Work with NYS Department of Taxation and Finance on retailer compliance on sales tax issues;
• Review tax clearances and issue instructions to staff prior to implementation;
• Receive, record and reconcile bad debt payments;
• Oversee and develop reporting requirements to various units;
• Oversee the monitoring of retailer sales trend data and make decisions regarding results on how to proceed with the retailer’s status;
• Review and approve settlement assurance claims and transfer;
• Oversee the verification of high-tier online prize ticket stock;
• Review, verify and distribute weekly credit file;
• Supervise Gaming Unit staff responsible for the critical game operations and daily reconciliation of sales and liability data;
• Receive, review and authorize requests from regional offices in regards to retailer changes and updates; and
• Oversee the application of liquidated damages per vendor contract.
