Current New York State Department of Labor (DOL) employee with one year or more of permanent, contingent-permanent or 55 b/c service as a Program Aide (formerly Administrative Aide/Agency Program Aide); OR current New York State employee with one year or more of permanent, contingent-permanent or 55 b/c service as a Program Aide and eligible for transfer.
TRANSFER QUALIFICATIONS: Current New York State employee with one year or more of permanent, contingent-permanent or 55 b/c service in a position allocated to a Grade 11 or above and eligible for transfer under section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

Duties Description STANDARD DUTIES
As a Program Aide in the List Unit of the Personnel Bureau, you will be performing the following duties:
• Create and track canvass letters
• Monitor canvass letter electronic mailbox
• Enter canvass responses into NYS Civil Service database
• Create acceptors list based on canvass letter results
• Monitor expiration dates of NYS Civil Service lists
• Upload Job Vacancy Announcements (JVA) to various websites
• Monitor the Job Vacancy electronic mailbox
• Reach out to candidates for additional information when necessary
• Prepare job vacancy responses for Human Resources Specialists
• Schedule typing tests and language proficiency exams
• Prepare and send correspondence to candidates when necessary
• Answer phone calls and emails regarding canvasses and Job Vacancy Announcements
• Assist with other office duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications:
• Customer service experience
• Strong organizational skills
• Experience working with Excel
