Minimum Qualifications Must be in title or on the Civil Service eligible list for this location or be eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 in a designated title determined by the New York State Department of Civil Service.
Provisional Qualifications: Candidate must be a qualified employee of New York State and have had one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in as a Data Entry Machine Operator, Data Entry Machine Operator (Spanish Language), Keyboard Specialist 1, Keyboard Specialist 1 (Chinese Language), Keyboard Specialist 1 (Spanish Language), Law Department Document Specialist Trainee 1 or Trainee 2, Office Assistant 1 (Keyboarding), Office Assistant 1 Keyboarding (Chinese Language), or Office Assistant 1 Keyboarding (Spanish Language).
Duties Description The Office Assistant 2 Keyboarding will maintain databases for HIPAA, Jonathan's Law, Records Release, and Medicaid Compliance. Additional responsibilities include responding to phone calls, responding to requests from investigators, releasing other information requests, photocopy/fax/scan information, responding to requests for TABS information, forwarding incoming mail to appropriate DDSO staff, and preparing and logging consent for Director signature. The incumbent will also maintain both paper and electronic files, scan documents for Litigation Hold Directives, and perform other clerical duties and special projects as assigned.
