Minimum Qualifications Candidate must be reachable on the Civil Service List for this title OR have one year of permanent competitive or 55(b) / 55 (c) service in a title allocated to Grade 25 or above eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 or Section 52.6 of the New York State Civil Service Law OR currently serving as a Developmental Disabilities Program Specialist 4 eligible for transfer.
Duties Description Under the direction of the Region 5 State Operations Director, the incumbent will service as the Quality Management Director for the Metro New York District. Incumbent would be a key member of the DDSO’s management team. Duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
• Supervision of incident review process for state-operated programs
• Oversee incident process of voluntary provider agencies
• Investigate all complaints concerning consumer care and treatment
• Oversee the implementation of the Incident Review Management Application (IRMA)
• Supervise Level of Care Determination process
• Serve as a member of the Regional Mortality Committee
• Assess risk areas in the agency as the Internal Controls Officer
• Make policy decisions as member of senior management team
• Liaison for Central Office, initiatives (NCI, QM strategies)
• Supervise staff in the Quality Management
• Liaison for agency’s legal matters (FOIL, court documents, etc.)
• Oversee the HIM/TABS Department
• Oversee the Technical Assistance Division of Quality Management
• Oversee the completion of all POCAs
