70.1 TRANSFER TO INVESTIGATIVE OFFICER 1 (SL), GRADE 16 QUALIFICATIONS: You may be eligible for a section 70.1 transfer to Investigative Officer 1, grade 16 if you have one year of permanent or contingent-permanent service in one of the following titles:
Investigative Officer 1 Beverage Control, Grade 16
Investigative Officer 1 Chinese, Korean or Spanish Language Parenthetics, Grade 16
Investigative Officer 1 Motor Vehicle, Grade 16
Investigative Officer 1 Public Work Wage, Grade 16
Investigative Officer 2 Motor Vehicle, Grade 20
Investigator 1, Grade 14
Jobs Program Specialist, Grade 16
Labor Services Representative, Grade 16
Labor Services Representative Chinese, Korean or Spanish Language Parenthetics, Grade 16

To be considered for appointment you will be required to pass a Civil Service language examination to demonstrate proficiency in Spanish language at a level that will ensure your ability to perform the duties of the position.

Duties Description STANDARD DUTIES:
As an Investigative Officer 1 (SL), you would perform office/field work required in the enforcement of State labor laws governing minimum wages, child labor, hours of work, wage payment, employment agency operation, industrial homework, farm labor and the like. A trainee receives on-the-job training for one year and upon satisfactory performance automatically advances to the full title. Spanish Language proficiency required.
