Job Specifics

Minimum Qualifications Must possess two years of satisfactory experience in a large commercial or institutional laundry, one year of which must have been in a supervisory capacity over employees, inmates or consumers.

Duties Description Supervise inmate laundry workers in a New York State correctional facility that is responsible for processing between 20 and 40 dry tons of laundry per month. May serve as a supervisor in charge of one or more subordinate staff. Provide guidance and oversight to inmates and subordinate staff, intervene and solve problems. Determine and oversee staff assignments. Review, monitor and evaluate inmate and staff performance. Manage and direct program activities by setting priorities and deadlines.
