As part of OMRDDs succession planning efforts, we intend to fill our Assistant Director of Personnel position due to an anticipated retirement, pending Division of Budget approval.  We are seeking an energetic individual that can craft creative solutions to staffing related challenges.&lt;BR&gt;

The Personnel Office fulfills a dual role, administering benefits and services to employees while working as a strategic partner with the OMRDD Leadership Team.  The Office interprets and implements public policy and requirements of law and provides accurate information and advice to managers and leadership in support of agency goals.  The Office provides accurate and timely information to employees regarding benefits such as health insurance, workers compensation, retirement, etc.  The Office also provides technical assistance and guidance regarding interpretation and implementation of various personnel policies/procedures, Civil Service Law, labor agreements, etc., to 14 service facilities that employ approximately 23,000 people, represented by six bargaining units at over 1,100 worksites.&lt;BR&gt;

Under the supervision of the Director of Personnel, the Assistant Director supervises a unit of eleven staff that provides services to 750 Central Office employees. Major activities of the unit include classification, examination planning, recruitment, labor relations, payroll and benefits administration. The Assistant Director is involved in all facets of recruitment and the deployment/alignment of OMRDDs talent in support of the agencys mission.
