Minimum Qualifications College degree preferred, ability to work a flexible schedule, knowledge of bill sponsorship, process, policy experience.
Duties Description Review & make recommendations on bill sponsorship requests; perform research on legal, legislative, bills & general; meet with legislative representatives and/or agency personnel on legislation; represent Member at meetings; draft and prepare legislation on behalf of Member, provide policy and/or program advice; negotiate, discuss or coordinate with Members and their staff in connection with the Member's committee, legislation; prepare for floor debate & provide assistance eon the floor; prepare/assist with conferences, hearings and committee meetings; track Member legislation and other legislation; act as a liaison; some travel required.
