Minimum Qualifications Permanent Transfer Candidates: Current New York State employee with one year of permanent or contingent-permanent service as an Administrative Aide (G-13), Agency Program Aide (G-13) or Program Aide (G-13); or one year of permanent or contingent-permanent service in a title allocated to G-11 or above eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
Preferred Qualifications: The ability to evaluate, analyze and summarize data, information or concepts.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and professional writing skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Teams, Outlook, SharePoint and Excel.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.
The ability to adapt to changing priorities and timeframes.
Duties Description Under the direction of senior staff, this position will address several critical reporting and communications functions within the Nursing Home Safety and Evaluation Program in the Office of Aging and Long-Term Care. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Following program procedures to compile and analyze program performance data to create periodic reports and provide information to program management and Executive staff.
Review and evaluate information related to instances of non-compliance and subsequent penalty determinations to prepare documentation for the program’s partners in the Division of Legal Affairs.
Work with Health Program Administrators and senior program staff to address requests for Technical Assistance.
Work with senior program staff to complete internal audits and prepare reports summarizing audit findings for senior staff.
As required, act as point of contact for the Program’s partners and other agencies to maintain communication and requests for information.
Additional Comments For new State employees appointed to graded positions, the annual salary is the hiring rate (beginning of the Salary Range) of the position. Promotion salaries are calculated by the NYS Office of the State Comptroller in accordance with NYS Civil Service Law, OSC Payroll rules and regulations and negotiated union contracts.
