Duties/ Responsibilities |
Instruct a course(s) recognized by the New York State Education Department; prepare or modify curriculum and course outlines, prepare daily or weekly lesson plans and conduct a schedule of formal instruction for residents of an Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) residential or secure facility. |

Minimum/Preferred Qualifications |
One year permanent competitive service as a Teacher or be eligible for a 70.1 transfer, OR a Provisional, Initial, Permanent, or Professional New York State certification in the appropriate specialty. |

Additional Comments |
Fingerprinting is required at the time of appointment, the fee is currently $86.75. In addition, screening through the New York State Register for Child Abuse and Maltreatment will also be required, the fee is currently $5. |
