Duties/ Responsibilities

The incumbent performs psychological evaluations and develops and implements plans of treatment for residents of an Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) residential or secure facility; provides technical direction to program staff, maintains records and writes reports.

Minimum/Preferred Qualifications

One year permanent competitive service as a Psychologist 2 or eligible for 70.1 transfer.
Provisional Qualifications: A Master's degree in Psychology that includes a psychology practicum or externship which prepares graduates for master's level psychologist positions in clinical or community mental health settings AND two years of supervised post-master's degree experience in a clinical or community mental health setting providing primarily psychological services.

Additional Comments

Fingerprinting is required at the time of appointment, the fee is currently $86.75. In addition, screening through the New York State Register for Child Abuse and Maltreatment will also be required, the fee is currently $5.
