Duties/ Responsibilities

As a Stores Clerk 2, you would perform various clerical and manual activities in the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods, materials, equipment, office supplies and records in a stockroom, warehouse, or records center, institution retail store, or commissary and/or supervise three or more clerical support staff who perform stockroom activities. Moderate to heavy lifting is required.

Minimum/Preferred Qualifications

Candidates must be reachable for appointment from the current Civil Service eligible list for Stores Clerk 2;

OR

Transfer Opportunity - have permanent status as a Stores Clerk 2, Grade 9, and be eligible for lateral transfer;

OR

be eligible for transfer via Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. To qualify for Section 70.1 transfer, candidates must have at least one year of permanent status in a title approved for transfer by Civil Service within two salary grades of the Grade 9 level. Some titles approved for transfer are: Agency Services Representative, Calculations Clerk 2, Clerk 2, Keyboard Specialist 2, Nursing Station Clerk 1, Senior Central Medical Supply Technician, and Treatment Unit Clerk.
