Duties/ Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the DCJS Deputy Commissioner for Public Safety, the incumbent of this position will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the center. The incumbent will be responsible for not only managing the physical space but will also oversee the crime analysis program and provide direction to the multi-agency staff assigned to the center. The center serves as the main hub of technology and serves as an information-sharing network for the county. The goal of the Center is to analyze crime within the area, and to promote sharing of this information to local law enforcement to assist in selecting more effective tactics and formulating strategies to significantly reduce crime. The Director will maximize all information and intelligence sharing opportunities by enlisting the participation of various law enforcement and criminal justice agencies.

Minimum/Preferred Qualifications

A Bachelor's Degree and fifteen years of experience in law enforcement. At least two years of this experience must have included command level experience AND two years of investigative experience AND two years experience using crime analysis. This crime analysis experience must have included using strategic, tactical and administrative analysis, which includes resource deployment, crime mapping, pattern identification and emerging trend recognition.

Preferred Qualifications: A Master's Degree is preferred. The Preferred candidate will also have excellent networking capabilities with local law enforcement agencies and agency managers and directors and also a thorough understanding and familiarization of the DCJS IMPACT program and its goals.

Salary: $91,753 - $111,073 - Commensurate with experience.
