Duties/ Responsibilities

The NYSCRI is a standardized and integrated clinical case records package designed for any non-inpatient program that is licensed, funded, and/or regulated by OMH or by the Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS). Under supervision of the Mental Health Program Specialist 3, the incumbent will participate in the implementation of the NYSCRI on a region by region basis. Frequent travel is required.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

Interface with individual providers.
Design and implement a regional training curriculum for providers in both live and electronic formats.

Collect and review provider feedback and maintain data in a format used for decision making.

Update/revise forms on a periodic basis as regulation changes become necessary.

Assist with the development of roles for the OMH Field Offices during the rollout process.

Minimum/Preferred Qualifications

Please Note: Individuals must be currently employed by New York State to be eligible for appointment to this position.

Candidates must be permanent in the Mental Health Program Specialist 2 title and be eligible for lateral transfer; OR be eligible to transfer via Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law by having at least one year of permanent service in a qualifying title within two salary grades of the Grade 23 level. Examples of titles approved for 70.1 transfer to Mental Health Program Specialist 2 include, but are not limited to: Mental Health Program Evaluation Specialist 3, Resources and Reimbursement Program Development Specialist 2, Social Work Supervisor 1, and Standards Compliance Analyst 2.
