Duties/ Responsibilities |
Under the supervision of a higher level analyst, the Senior Budgeting Analyst functions at the full performance level in conducting studies of assigned program areas to develop budget estimates and justifications, evaluate necessary resources for new program and services, assess current programs and their related costs for effectiveness and efficiency, implement and evaluate expenditure controls, forecast future workloads and cash expenditures. The incumbent may also assist in the training of lower level analysts and serve as the lead analyst on a project basis. The selected candidate will be responsible for budgetary activities to support the Training Programs as well as providing staff support for the development, implementation and monitoring of the Training Plan. In addition, the Senior Budget Analyst will perform critical budgetary functions related to budget preparation, execution and fiscal analysis for the Bureau of Training and Workforce Development. |

Minimum/Preferred Qualifications |
Satisfactory completion of one year as a Budgeting Analyst Trainee 2 or eligible for a 52.6 transfer. |

Additional Comments |
Fingerprinting is required at the time of appointment, the fee is currently $86.50. In addition, screening through the New York State Register for Child Abuse and Maltreatment will also be required, the fee is currently $5. |
