Duties/ Responsibilities |
Provide the oversight necessary to guarantee child care facilities regulated by the State of New York meet the requirements of State and Federal Regulations; inspection of day care facilities seeking licensing and certification, review of submitted documents for compliance, including investigation of complaints lodged against day care operators and the provision of training and technical assistance to clients. |

Minimum/Preferred Qualifications |
One year of permanent competitive State service as a Children and Family Services Specialist 1 MG or be eligible for a 70.1 transfer. |

Additional Comments |
Fingerprinting is required at the time of appointment, the fee is currently $86.50. In addition, screening through the New York State Register for Child Abuse and Maltreatment will also be required, the fee is currently $5. |
