Duties/ Responsibilities

Perform psychological evaluations, as well as develop and implement plans or treatment for residents in an Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) residential or secure facility; provide technical direction to program staff, maintain records and write reports.

Minimum/Preferred Qualifications

One year of permanent competitive service as a Psychologist 2 or Psychologist 2 (Spanish Language) or eligible for 70.1 transfer.
Open Competitive Qualifications: Master's degree in psychology that includes a psychology practicum or externship which prepares graduates for master's level psychologist positions in clinical or community mental health settings AND two years of supervised post master's degree experience in a clinical or community mental health setting providing primarily psychological services.

Additional Comments

Fingerprinting is required at the time of appointment, the fee is currently $86.75. In addition, screening through the New York State Register for Child Abuse and Maltreatment will also be required, the fee is currently $5.
